Recently, the LIMS Project acceptance meeting of Indonesia Tsingshan Steel was successfully held. The project was officially launched in April 2021, and the successful holding of the project acceptance meeting marked a new solid step on the road of SUPCON informatization & digitalization solution utilization in the overseas market.
“ Located in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, the Guangqing Industry Park has a total planning area of over 2,000 hectares, with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes of ferronickel, 300,000 t/a of ferrochrome, 3 million t/a of stainless steel billets, 3 million t/a of hot rolling, and a total installed capacity of 2,000MW captive power plants. It is an industrial park for the comprehensive development and utilization of nickel, chromium, and iron ore resources with the integration of "nickel-iron + stainless steel" as the main part. ”
In June 2021, when the Covid-19 pandemic spread rapidly in the industrial park, the SUPCON project team went to the site to ensure the delivery of the project. After more than a year of unremitting efforts, the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) solution for Tsingshan Steel was implemented successfully. The LIMS main characteristics are as below:
1 Optimizing quality management methods. It's necessary to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of analysis data, enhance the timeliness of analysis data, dig for the potential value of analysis data and provide data support for production guidance.
2 Improving inspection efficiency. Reducing the complexity and workload of analysis and lowering the cost of analysis & inspection. After the platform was launched, 95% of the analytical instruments in the laboratory center were automatically data transferred, increasing the work efficiency by more than 60% and bringing considerable benefits to the user.
3 Strengthening the inspection management. Combined with the inspection requirement of the park, the system achieves refined management of sample status and inspection results, as well as full process tracking, ensuring the traceability of each sample result.
4 Real-time inspection data sharing. According to business needs, the system is integrated with WeChat and OA to complete automatic data transmission and report pushing, improving confidentiality while greatly enhancing inspection data sharing timeliness and improving productivity.
5 Standardizing laboratory management. Following the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, the system achieves standardized management of equipment, material & reagents, and retention samples within the laboratory, and combines with other operations such as warehouse management & cost management to improve the overall level of analysis and standardization of the laboratory.
After the system go-live, the user sent a letter of thanks to SUPCON, highly praising the project team for their specialized technologies, courage to overcome the epidemic, and enthusiasm to serve customers despite the difficulties and challenges.
In the future, SUPCON will continue to provide comprehensive informatization & digitalization solutions for overseas users and contribute to their intelligent manufacturing enhancement and digitalization transformation.
