IEC 61010-2-202 Standard Formulated by SUPCON Passed FDIS of IEC

SUPCON Held Coordination Meeting for SINOPEC SCADA System Project

Leaders from Ministry of Science and Technology Visits SUPCON

May 17, SUPCON was formally informed that the IEC 61010-2-202 Standard formulated by SUPCON passed the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) by IEC Technical Committee 65 (IEC/TC65).

IEC 61010-2-202 standard, namely "Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use - Part 2-202 Particular Requirement for Electrically Operated Valve Actuators", was voted by May 13 with a result of 21 yes vote, reaching up to 95.5% pass rate.

The IEC 61010-2-202 is predominantly prepared by SUPCON and Instrumentation Technology and Economy Institute (ITEI). The standard specifies the safety requirements for electric valve, electric actuators and solenoids used for industrial measurement, control and laboratories, thereby improve the production technology and the product quality for the whole industry.

Development of IEC 61010-2-202:
¡¤2012: SUPCON and ITEI submitted the draft standard to IEC/TC65
¡¤2013: IEC/TC65 passed the draft and officially launched the project
¡¤2013 - 2015: IEC/TC65 standard team held discussion meetings in many countries including Austria, America, etc., and modified the content according to the meeting results.

¡¤2016: IEC/TC65 called a polling among active member countries on March 25; and, received 22 replies with 21 yes vote on May 13.
