SUPCON Wins Contract of Dongying Chemical 2,000,000t/a PX Project

China’s 1st 1000MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Unit Semi-Physical Model and Intelligent Instrument Integration System Project Passed Acceptance

2 APC (Advanced Process Control) solution projects undertaken by SUPCON for SINOPEC Maoming Petrochemical Company passed acceptance. Previously, SUPCON has applied 9 APC systems to help SINOPEC Maoming achieve intelligent operations.

In the acceptance meeting, experts conducted a comprehensive inspection for the two projects according to SUPCON’s work and technical details through a series of documents review and technical inquires. The inspection concluded with a satisfactory result.

About the projects –
APC solution for No.5 Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Unit:
· Including advance control for the primary distillation tower, atmosphere furnace, atmosphere tower, vacuum furnace, vacuum tower, etc.
· Performance improved: standard deviation of key controlled variable reduces more than 20%, controller operation rate be guaranteed to more than 95%, total draw rate increase by 1%, processing capacity increase by more than 3%, and fuel gas consumption reduces by more than 0.9%.

APC solution for No. 1 Butadiene Extraction Unit (BEU) and No. 1 MTBE Unit:
· Including advanced control for the extraction devices, purification device, solvent recovery device, reaction device and distillation device.
· Performance improved: controller operation rate be guaranteed to more than 95%, standard deviation of key controlled variable reduces more than 30%, fluctuation range of BEU main product quality (chemical analysis) reduces more than 20%, BEU’s extraction yield of product increases by 0.2%, and MTBE unit’s yield of butylene product increases by 1 %, therefore reducing more then 1% of BEU‘s total energy consumption.
