Safety Integrity
To ensure a high hardware fault tolerance, Webfield® TCS-900 is designed with dual redundant controllers of triple modular redundancy architecture supporting 3-3-2-2-0 five-layer voting mechanism.

Triple Modular Redundancy
TMR architecture is adopted throughout from input modules to controllers to output modules. Each module houses three independent channels passing isolated data. Each controller performs parallel input, prosessing and output of data respectively. In case of failure, data are reselected in nanoseconds with no host-to-standby switching process.

5-Layer Voting
5-layer voting mechanism is devised to strengthen error-free and uninterrupted process operation. By segmenting and isolating failures to the maximum extent possible, spurious trip is optimally avoided. A single point of failure will not trigger a degrade, allowing the system to continiously work in triplicated control without any interruption.
